Multiport Service Terminal (MST) boxes are compact distribution enclosures designed to simplify and accelerate fiber deployments in access and last-mile networks. Commonly used in FTTH, FTTx, and outside plant (OSP) applications, MST boxes provide a secure, environmentally protected point where fiber can be quickly and reliably connected to multiple subscribers or network endpoints. By providing a rugged access point at the distribution edge, MST boxes simplify drop connections with a reliable and protective plug-and-play design—especially when paired with our FT-Tap™ hardened connectors.
Our MST boxes are engineered to support a wide range of deployment scenarios, making them an ideal solution for both new builds and network expansions. They are commonly used with dielectric, toneable, and outside plant (OSP) cables, while also supporting custom configurations to meet customer-specific requirements. Whether deployed on poles, walls, or aerial wire runs, these enclosures deliver dependable performance in demanding environments.
We offer MST boxes in 2, 4, 6, 8, 12, and 16-port configurations, giving network designers the flexibility to match enclosure size to subscriber density and growth plans. Smaller port counts are ideal for low-density service areas or targeted drops, while higher port counts support multi-dwelling units, clustered neighborhoods, or future expansion without additional enclosures. This scalability helps reduce material costs while keeping networks organized and easy to maintain.
To meet different network architectures and installation preferences, our MST boxes can be configured in several ways. Options include factory-installed pigtails, trunk cable breakouts, or integrated splitters inside the enclosure. They can also be built with SC simplex, LC duplex, or MPO connectors on the input and/or output ports to support a variety of network standards and installation scenarios. These configurations allow installers to choose the most efficient approach for their network while maintaining consistent optical performance.
By offering multiple port counts, internal configurations, and mounting options—along with full compatibility with our FT-Tap™ hardened connectors—we provide a complete range of MST solutions tailored to real-world network requirements. Our fiber optic MST boxes are built to support efficient installations, long-term reliability, and scalable growth, helping service providers deploy fiber faster, cleaner, and with confidence.
