Miller® 103-T-250-J Series Fiber Optic Removal Tool Features & Specifications

The ONLY fiber stripper with stripping holes produced by the precise and repeatable wire EDM process is the Miller® FO 103 Series of fiber optic strippers. Other competitive tools utilize a grinding process to shape the stripping hole geometry. Tools from the Miller FO 103 series are factory set and cannot be calibrated or altered. The tool's functionality may be periodically checked. A fine plastic bristles brush can be used to clean the instrument before and during the inspection in order to remove any debris from the entrance. Use dry compressed air to clean the aperture.

 


 

Operating Instructions

  1. Insert fiber into the appropriate opening of the tool
  2. Close the tool squarely around the fiber. Grasp firmly, do not squeeze hard.
  3. Draw the tool along the fiber while keeping the tool perpendicular to the fiber.
  4. Clean the stripped fiber and terminate the end per the splice or connector manufacturer’s instruction
