MTP® Loopbacks are primarily used in testing by supplying a looped signal that tests both transmit and receive functions within fiber optic applications, more specifically parallel optics 40/100G networks. The development of fiber optic loopback components has greatly improved testing practices throughout the Telecom sector.

By using fiber Loopbacks, you link the signal emitted by your transceiver to the receiver on the same device. This is true for 40/100G SR4/SR10 transceiver interfaces. Acquiring bi-directional data on the cable or device under test, streaming the Qualification/Certification process.

Fibertronics, Inc.’s MTP® loopbacks come in Standard or Elite plug performance. They can be customized to meet requested fiber arrangement and gender. This item can be ordered in singlemode or multimode OM1, OM3 and OM4 fiber types. The loopbacks are factory tested to meet TIA 568 industry standards. Singlemode fiber is ITU-T G.652.D compliant, tested at 1310/1550nm. Multimode loopbacks are also tested to industry standards and meet or exceed TIA 492AAAD for OM4 and TIA 492AAAC-B for OM3. Multimode loopbacks are tested at 850/1300nm.  Different housing color options are also available. You can inquire about different designs by using the Contact Us portion of the website.

MTP® loopbacks can be implemented in Campus Networks, Data Centers, OTN and PON networks. This product can also be used with Optical DTS monitoring systems, giving a comprehensive view of network performance.
