IBC™ Fiber Optic Cleaner for SC Connectors by USConec, Ltd.

This IBC fiber optic cleaner pen is great for quickly removing dirt, dust, oil, and grease from optical fiber adapters. It is designed to clean SC/UPC and SC/APC optical-fiber ferrule connections and cleans FC, ST and E2000 connections. Its extension feature increases its depth to 208mm for hard-to-reach connectors.

The single fiber cleaners sold under the US Conec IBCTM Brand can be used to thoroughly clean a variety of single fiber connectors, including MDC, LC Duplex, LC, and SC ones that are unmated and those that are housed in an adaptor or faceplate. They have a cutting-edge dry-cleaning strand that removes dirt and grime from connector end faces softly and effectively without the need of solvents. A straightforward push motion is all that is required to activate the tool, and a CLICK sound alerts the user when the tool is completely operational. A lanyard secures the dust cap to the tool to prevent loss.

The stability of any optical network infrastructure depends critically on the condition of the connector. In addition to power degradation, connector end faces with even minor amounts of dirt (such as skin oils, dust, lotions, water residue, etc.) have a higher chance of experiencing irreparable damage during mating.
