A keystone jack is usually rectangular in shape and has flexible tabs to hold it in place and allow it to be physically inserted into compatible patch panels. A keystone jack is used for mounting low-voltage electrical components and they come in different angle degrees 90 or 180. The degrees on the jack have to do with the way the wires and cable will be inserted into the jack. Some keystone jacks are backwards compatible, for example Cat6 cables can be used with Cat5e jacks and Cat5e cables can be used with Cat6 jacks.
