Miller® CFS-2 Series Fiber Optic Removal Tool for 900µm and 250µm - Dual Hole

  • CFS-2 900 for stripping 250 and 900 micron buffer coating to expose 125 micron cladded fiber
  • First hole application: 1.6 - 3 mm Jacket → 600 - 900 µm Tight Buffer
  • Second hole application: 900 µm Tight Buffer & 250 µm Buffer Coating → 125 µm Bare Fiber

Fiber Optic Stripper Operation Instructions:

  1. The larger notch at the tip of the tool can remove fiber jackets of 2mm to 3mm. Holding the tool firmly, close it around the jacket and remove the jacket material.
  2. If there are Kevlar members, cut them with a Kevlar cutter.
  3. The smaller notch close to the pivot point of the tool, in a single step, you can remove 900 µm & 250 µm coatings to expose the 125 µm fiber
    1. Insert the fiber
    2. Close the tool completely, but do not squeeze hard. Depending on the fiber construction, if you angle the tool it may make it easier to strip
    3. Pull the tool towards the end with steady pressure
