This small, metal termination box can be easily wall-mounted and comes with plates that hold SC, ST and LC adapters (sold separately). It also includes a 24 splice sleeve holder and cable routing guides.

In FTTH applications, a termination box is a distribution box specially designed for the management of fiber cables. Its core use is to terminate fiber optic cables and connect the cable’s core and pigtail. The typical termination box consists of three parts, the fiber connector protection element, the internal components, and the housing. Its internal components are typically encapsulated in an IP-rated housing made of impact-resistant and sturdy materials that can protect against damage caused during operation and placement. Fixtures, fixed fiber trays and the support frame are part of the internal components of a fiber termination box. The main component in the internal structure is this supporting frame. Termination boxes help maintain the fibers in an orderly manner. To perform outdoors for a prolonged period, components of the FTB should be dustproof and have good corrosion resistance. Its housing should be easy to open and have provisions for a lock to prevent potential tapping.

Based on the design, fiber termination boxes can be divided into rack and wall mounted fibre termination boxes. The latter is usually sealed and hung on the wall, while the former has a rear and front door with a side rail directly attached to the server's rack.

In general, the fiber termination box shall be used for agricultural telephone networks, data, and image transmission systems as well as CATV cable TV series. For a variety of fiber optic systems in which optical cables, patch cores and pigtails are interconnected, fiber termination boxes may be used for distribution and termination. In addition, a fiber termination box may be used for joint fiber pigtails and to protect fiber optic splices.
